We are pretty excited for the release of Hocus Pocus 2 this weekend. I decided to create a photo board to use at our watch party. I started by sketching a design on a tri-fold poster board. Then I outlined the pencil with black Sharpie. I used acrylic paint and paint pens to finish the design.

Coffee Cup Birthday Cake
I formed the cup out of Rice Krispie treats and then covered it with fondant. The coffee beans are made out of fondant as well. I just rolled out fondant balls and pressed them in the shape of a bean. I used my fondant cutter to add a line down the middle. To make the steam, I rolled fondant around a toothpick and stuck it in the top. The handle is also made from Rice Krispie and attached with a toothpick.
Tea Party for Queen Elizabeth
To celebrate the life of Queen Elizabeth, we researched her afternoon tea menus and put this together. We had cucumber sandwiches, jelly sandwiches, English scones with jam and cream, mini quiche, mini pies, and chocolate brownies.
Detroit Lions Charcuterie Board
For the Lions first game, we put together this board to celebrate. The words are made from pie crust.
Ice Cream Cone Birthday Cake
I used a serrated knife to cut ice cream cones in half and placed them around the cake. I put a large marshmallow inside each cone before I added the frosting swirl to the top.
Tea Party
We went to a tea party at our local museum and had an absolute blast, so we decided to have some tea parties at home. We bought a tea party recipe book at Barnes and Noble that provided us with most of these recipes. I got the tablecloth, paper plates, and tiered tray from Walmart.
The mini pies and quiche were a huge hit. For the pies, I added 1 cup of frozen sweet pitted cherries, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp of water in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium heat and cook until thickened (about 5 minutes). Let it cool for about 10 minutes. I used a 2 1/2 inch circle to cut out pieces of refrigerated pie crust. Spray a mini muffin pan and add the pie crust to the muffin pan. Then fill with the cherry mixture. Any remaining cups I had, I put strawberry and raspberry jam in. Bake the pies at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Cut another pie crust in 2 1/2 inch circles and add to a sprayed mini muffin pan. You get about 24 muffin cups out of one pie crust. Whisk 3 eggs, 1/3 cup milk, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Add about a Tbsp of the egg mixture to each muffin tin. Dice up about 1/2 cup of ham pieces. Add some to each muffin tin. Then sprinkle 1/4 cup of cheese across the muffin tins. Bake at 375 for about 25 minutes.
