Fourth of July Scavenger Hunt

While the kids were waiting for their pizzas to finish cooking, they searched for the pieces to this flag puzzle.

I started with a large sheet of white paper. I colored it to look like a flag. On the flag I wrote, "Good work! You finished the puzzle. Now you get to pick one prize from the bucket. It is in the fireplace."

The prizes were glow sticks, play dough, and misc. things I picked up from the dollar store.

I cut the flag into 13 pieces (to represent the 13 colonies) and hid them in our living room. The kids had a great time finding the pieces and putting the puzzle together.
