This craft pretty simple, and it gives toddlers a chance to work on patterns and their fine motor skills.
I cut off about 1/4 of a pipe cleaner. (Cut it so the pipe cleaner is the size you want your candy cane.)
I bought red and white beads from Hobby Lobby. We have done these before with other colored beads. The boys like making patterns using their favorite teams' colors. (blue and white for the Lions; orange and blue for the Broncos and Tigers; green and white for the Spartans, etc.)
They place the beads on the pipe cleaner. Pull the ends of the pipe cleaner over the beads on each end so the beads don't fall off.
Shape into a candy cane. Hang on the tree.
