Cinnamon Ornaments

These ornaments are fun to make, make great gift tags, and can be used as an air freshener. (If you use natural oils, place about 15-20 drops of your favorite scent into the dough.)

Ingredients:
2 cups applesauce
2 1/2 cups cinnamon

Mix until you get a ball of dough. I had to scrap the sides to get the dough to form. It will be a little wet. Be careful not to add too much cinnamon. If you do, they will crack.

Place parchment paper on your table. Sprinkle it with cinnamon. Place about 1/3 of the dough on the paper. Sprinkle the dough with cinnamon so your rolling pin doesn't stick to the dough.
Roll out the dough quickly.
Use your choice of cookie cutters to make the ornaments.

Use a metal lifter to place the ornaments on a baking sheet.
I used a skewer to make a little circle in the top. I tie ribbon through this hole so it can be placed on the tree.

Bake for about 2 hours at 200 degrees.
