To add a little color to my Christmas candy plates, I made rice krispie treats with peppermint-flavored marshmallows.
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 bag of peppermint-flavored marshmallows
6 cups rice krispie cereal
about 1/4 cup of white chocolate melting discs
Melt 1/4 cup of butter (1 stick). Add the marshmallows. Stir until melted.
Remove from heat. Add cereal.
Pour cereal mixture onto a greased baking pan.
Using a cookie cutter, shape into candy canes. I did a couple of stockings, but the candy canes looked better.
Drizzle with melted white chocolate.
