I had a lot of success with the St. Patrick's Day decoding activity we did today. It worked great for my 5-year-old as he practiced writing letters. I was pleasantly surprised at his concentration in completing this task. My 11-year-old asked to do another one tomorrow, so he enjoyed it as well. I had to split up the word madness because the 5-year-old still writes his letters pretty large, so I didn't want to discourage him if he didn't have enough room to write the letters on the lines.
