Caramel Corn

Caramel Corn
1 large brown bag
4 quarts popped corn
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup light karo syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Spray the inside of a brown paper bag with cooking spray. Dump the popcorn in the bag. 
In a 1-quart saucepan, mix brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. 

Add the baking soda. (It will foam.) Pour over popcorn in the bag. Close and shake well. While the top of the bag is folded loosely over, microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Microwave for 1 more minute. 
Pour popcorn on wax paper.
